Ronald E. Furrow, 62, of Barkhamsted, died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born July 11, 1952 and had lived in Canton prior to moving to Barkhamsted. Ronald was a graduate of University of Hartford having received his Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served as a hospital corpsmen from 1971-1975. Mr. Furrow was a Rural Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for many years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Barkhamsted as well as a member of the church choir. He was a devoted animal lover, family man, and proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Furrow and her fiancé Joshua Cuatt of Torrington; his son, Aaron Furrow of Burlington; his former wife, Janet Furrow; his sisters, Diane Hobson and her husband, Dave, of Leeds, ME and Debbie Bohlman and her husband, Michael of Bristol; his grandchildren Lillianna and Georgie Cuatt of Torrington; his aunts, Shirley Blair and Rose Symolon of New Britain and many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13th, 1:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Barkhamsted, 6 Old Town Hall Road in Barkhamsted.
