Obituary for Pauline Verhoosky

Pauline (Stecz) Verhoosky, 91, of Burlington, beloved wife of Edward Verhoosky, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Born on August 11, 1924 in Hartford, Pauline was the daughter of Michael and Johanna Stecz. A graduate of Canton High School (Class of ’43), Pauline was a lifelong member of Saint Patrick Church in Collinsville until she became a resident of Paradigm Healthcare of South Windsor. Pauline, a devoted housewife and mother, also worked at New Departure and as a Manager of the Roosevelt Mills outlet store in Avon. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Edward, brothers John and Louis, and sister Helen (Stecz) Wabrek. Pauline is survived by her daughter Joan and husband Mark Olsen of East Hartford and her son Michael Verhoosky and his wife Michele of Supply, NC. She also leaves her granddaughters Alysson Olsen and her husband Justin Gusy (and children Julia and Nolan); and Jessica Verhoosky-MacIver (and children Lily and Emily); and her grandsons Joshua Olsen and his wife Judi (and daughter Skyler) and Jason Verhoosky (and his children Molly and Will); her niece Patricia and her husband Joseph Lewin of New Hartford and her cousin James Gaylord and his wife Kathy of Unionville. The family wishes to thank Pauline and Jessica for their devoted care of Pauline at Paradigm for the past five years. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 23rd, at Calvary Cemetery on Collins Road in Collinsville at 2:00 PM.
