Paul L. Rotondo
Paul L. Rotondo, 80, of Canton Valley Circle in Canton, beloved husband of Annamae (Cari) Rotondo, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born October 9, 1935 in Simsbury, son of the late Claude and Michelina (Capone) Rotondo and had lived in Bristol prior to moving to Canton 70 years ago. Paul graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1953, and had served in the U. S. Army Reserves. Paul owned and operated Big A Auto Parts in Canton for many years as well as the Canton Garage with his family. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville and was a Little League Coach and Umpire for several years. Paul enjoyed golf, making bread for and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fixing things, working on cars with his brothers Dante and Louie and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. Besides his loving wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Rotondo and her husband Mark Trafton of Exeter, NH, Michael Rotondo and his wife Concetta of Southington, Laurie Rotondo and her fiancé Dave Grzybowski of Windsor and Deborah Rotondo and her husband George White of Simsbury; his grandchildren, Drew, Seth, Claudia, Cassandra, Amanda, Alicia, Samantha, Caila, Tara and Timothy; his sisters-in-law, Joyce and Shirley Rotondo; his brother-in-law, Richard Ricci and several loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and two sisters-in-law, Dante Rotondo, Delio Rotondo and his wife Marcella, Claude “Sonny” Rotondo and Louis Rotondo and his wife Mary and his sister, Clementina Dena Ricci. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Friday, July 1st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Saturday, July 2nd, 9:15 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Collinsville.
