Theresa Josephine Voroscak
Theresa Josephine (Paternoster) Voroscak, 78, the beloved wife of Robert A. Voroscak for 55 years, died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at River Ridge at Avon surrounded by her family. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on March 19, 1938 and lived in Bridgeport for 38 years prior to her move to Simsbury. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Simsbury. She was retired from the The CIGNA Corporation where she was an administrative assistant. Theresa was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed best the times spent with her family. She was always generous about offering friends and family support and a helping hand whenever possible. Active in the community, she volunteered in the Simsbury Library and Squadron Line School; was co-leader of a Girl Scout Brownie Troop, a member of the Simsbury Garden Club and a member of St. Mary’s Church Women’s Guild. Her pleasant smile and positive disposition left happiness wherever she went. Her family and friends will dearly miss her. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia Paternoster and is survived by Robert, her husband; a daughter and her spouse, Stacey and Robert Michaud, and her beloved granddaughter, Kailey Grace Michaud. Also surviving are two sisters and their spouses, Carol and Eugene Belchick, Martha and John Cennamo; two brothers and their spouses, Nickolas and Linda Paternoster, William and Eleanor Paternoster; and a brother Ralph Paternoster and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa Marie, five brothers, one sister, and four half brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at River Ridge at Avon for their wonderful and loving care as well as Hospice for its compassion, empathy and concern. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Tuesday, July 5th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 6th, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Inurnment will follow in the Sycamore Mausoleum in the Simsbury Cemetery.
