Gediminas Kazlauskas
Gediminas “Ged” Peter Kazlauskas, 74, of Canton, devoted husband of 41 years to Bernice (Vienazindis) Kazlauskas, died Monday, July 18, 2016 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born September 15, 1941 in Lithuania, son of the late Antanas and Aleksandra (Tunkevicius) Kazlauskas and had lived in Canton for many years. He was a graduate of South High School in Worcester, MA, received his Bachelors Degree from San Diego State University and his Masters Degree in Education from Central Connecticut State University. Mr. Kazlauskas was a Physics Teacher at Bristol Eastern High School for 30 years prior to his retirement and after retirement had worked at Secure America. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing, walking, watching the Red Sox and the Patriots and playing with his grandson.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Paul Kazlauskas and his wife Jodie of Farmington; his daughter, Vicky Kazlauskas of Watertown; his siblings, Zose Gorodeckas and her husband Henris of San Diego, CA, Stasia Prapuolenis of Northbridge, MA and Vitty Kazlauskas of Niantic; his grandson, Sam Kazlauskas and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Elena Cernius and Ona Orentas and a brother, Jonas Kazlauskas.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Friday, July 22nd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM closing with a prayer service. Burial will be private.
