Robert L. Scott
Robert Lee Scott, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home in Canton, CT. Born in St. Louis, MO on November 1, 1923, he was the son of Ethyl M. (Burton) Scott and T. Maurice Scott. After studying engineering at Washington University, he served in WWII as an army corporal in the 873rd Airborne Engineer Aviation Battalion. Afterward, he was a seed broker with his father in St. Louis, MO and later a furniture upholsterer in Torrington, CT. He was a member of the Bahá’í faith and passionately loved cars and jazz music. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves behind his dearly beloved daughter, Karen Forzani of Albuquerque, NM; beloved stepdaughter, Heather Kiley-Bunia, her husband David Bunia, and their sons Thomas and Andrew; beloved stepson, David Kiley, his wife Erin Kiley, and their daughter Leia; beloved son-in-law, Carlo Forzani of Torrington, CT; three beloved granddaughters and their spouses and children, Francesca Forzani, husband Jeremy Sussman, and children Gabriel and Luisa; Christina Forzani, wife Jennifer Forzani, and daughter Gia; and Elena Forzani, husband Stephen Bartha, daughter Giuliana, and son on the way; two special friends, Margo Kiley and Ginger Newman; and many other family members and friends.
