Obituary for Jason Almeron Smith

Jason Almeron  Smith
Jason Almeron Smith, 23, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. He was born August 1, 1993 in Hartford and was a graduate of the Forman School, Class of 2012. Jason was studying Finance at Syracuse University, where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a PADMI-certified Master scuba diver and was an avid fan of the New York Rangers and the Boston Red Sox. Jason will be remembered for his beautiful smile, huge heart, and excellent sense of humor and adventure.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Cournoyer and stepfather Marc of Canton, and his father, Craig A. Smith and his fiancée Jennifer Jones of Monson, MA; his maternal grandmother, Carol Edick of Sun City, AZ; his grandparents, Dave and Carol Cournoyer of East Killingly, his aunt, Michelle Cournoyer Joseph and his cousins, Sarah and Ryan Joseph, all of Tilton, NH. Jason also had innumerous friends who meant the world to him. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Edick, and paternal grandparents, Jack and Jane Smith.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Saturday, November 26th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will follow in the Village Cemetery in Collinsville at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT Program at www.uclahealth.org/brainsport .
