John R. Perry, 50, of East Granby, beloved husband of Lisa (Botscheller) Perry, died Saturday, December 10, 2016 at his home with wife at his side. He was born April 1, 1966 in Winsted, son of Margaret (Perry) Brashears and the late Martin Brashears and had lived in Winsted for many years prior to moving to East Granby three years ago. John was a graduate of the Gilbert High School, Class of '84. He was the Facility Manager of the YMCA of Winsted for many years. John enjoyed playing softball, golf, playing cards, entertaining family and friends, having BBQs and family vacations. He was an avid duck pin bowler and a fan of the NY Yankees and the 49ers. Besides his loving wife Lisa and his mother, he is survived by his children, Meghan Cuatt and her husband William of Rockland, ME, Charles Perry of Winsted, Amber Diggens and her husband Brian of Windsor Locks and David and Jamie Lamb of Simsbury; his sister, Linda Gables and her husband Mike of Winsted; his grandchildren, Theresa, Oliva and John Cuatt, Lucian Perry, Cayden and Charlotte Diggens and Eliana Williams; his three nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandson, James David McGhee Cuatt and favorite aunt, Mildred Perry.
