Obituary for
Beverly Anne Lapioli
Beverly (Fisher) Lapioli, 72, of Simsbury, CT died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Samuel S. and Harriet Fisher and had lived in Simsbury for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Haverford College and earned her Masters Degree from Florida State. Beverly was a teacher for many years, having been awarded the Teacher of the Year Award at the Brookline School in Pennsylvania. She was a member of Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford, the Newcomers Club, and was previously on the Board of the Greater Hartford Youth Orchestra and a New Jersey State Champion Baton Twirler. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, going to the beach, hiking, cooking, baking and doing arts and crafts with her grandkids and cherished friends. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Adams and her husband David of Simsbury; her son, Ken Lapioli of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Elly and Lexy Adams; and her loving companion, Gus Dobler of Simsbury. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee Lapioli and her sister, Lois Ferguson. In honor of Beverly, there will be an hour of gathering at 4:00 PM followed by a memorial service, starting at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28th at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury.
