Condolence From: Terri (Knoblauch) Wilson
Condolence: The Knoblauch family (Mary Ann, Terri and Carole) send our condolences to the Melanson family on the passing of a wonderful matriarch who was so kind and generous. She had such a way about her that you just knew a hug was coming and smile and some Canadian wit with it. We thank her for and the family for their friendship with Jerry and Mary Ann over the many decades at St. Mary's and their presence at Jerry's funeral almost 6 years ago! She is smiling down on all of us and that makes our lives that much richer.

Condolence: When I think of Ethel, I think of gentleness, softness. As her group exercise instructor, when I would look out and see Ethel exercising...always....right in the middle of class she would give me a warm smile. After class, it was with a soft tread, a light in her eye, a heart-deep smile and gentle voice that she'd come tell me what a great workout she just had.

In her heart lived the Holy Spirit, shining for all to see. Whomever she talked with, that light was evident.

I do remember when her grandson Matthew died, something went out of Ethel. It was like a piece of her died too. Having to say good bye to a family member, her wonderful Matthew, saddened her so deeply. Because her love for him was so pure, so deep.

That's what it seems like to me, to everyone Ethel gave the gift of pure love; untainted, gentle, warm. I will sooooo miss her.

Condolence: To Mrs. Melanson's family:

My siblings join me in expressing our sympathies on the loss of your dear mother. Your Mom was so kind to our mother, Mary Lane. Over the years, after Mom was home bound and later, at McLean, your Mom brought our Mom communion and became a very dear and comforting friend. She was beloved by our Mom. Here's to a life very well lived!

Sincerely,

Mike Lane

Condolence: Dear Melanson Family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your wonderful mother. She was a beautiful lady with a kind heart, and I will forever remember her engaging smile and laugh.

As she so often did for my family, I will do for yours, and that is to pray for each of you, that God holds you in the palm of His hand.

God bless!

Condolence From: André LeBlanc
Ma tante Éthel me manquera beaucoup.
