Matthew David Lamothe
Matthew David Lamothe, 30, of Simsbury, CT, beloved son of Henri Lamothe, MD and Laura (Beaudin) Lamothe of Weatogue, died Monday, January 16, 2017 in Manhattan, NY. He was born March 29, 1986 in Hartford and had lived in Los Angeles, CA for many years prior to moving to New York City last year. Matthew attended Westminster School in Simsbury CT and later was a graduate of Simsbury High School. He had received his Bachelors Degree from Wesleyan University, Class of 2010.
Matthew started his career working at Interactive Creative Management before becoming a producer at a private film production company. He later joined Tommy V Films. Matthew’s accomplishments were vast, but most notably included being the executive producer for the award nominated, “I’ll See You In My Dreams,” which premiered at 2015 Sundance Film Festival, “Intruders” which screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, and most recently “London Town”.
Matthew loved watching movies, playing golf, hockey and tennis and relaxing by the water, both pool and beach. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family, traveling around the world to exciting places where he met new people and experienced great opportunities.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his siblings, Barrie, Brooke, Luke, Noah and Austin. His grandparents, Tom and Marlene Beaudin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Matthew’s family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Sunday, January 22nd from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 23rd at St. Mary’s Church, 942 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will be private.
