Virginia D. (Dallas) Jackson, wife of Thomas Jackson, died Monday, (January 30, 2017 ) at Hartford Hospital. She was born September 19, 1939 in Auburn, Alabama, daughter of the late Samuel and Doris (Griffin) Dallas. She moved from Syracuse, NY to Torrington, CT after marrying Thomas Jackson, her husband of 55 years. They have resided in Canton, CT for the last 15 years. She retired from Caldor Department Store in Torrington, CT and was a member of the Canton Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Jackson of Canton, her three sons, Rodney and Darek Jackson of Connecticut and Jamie Jackson and his wife Natalie of Syracuse, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ryan Kevin, Jordan, Nya and Asia; two step grandchildren, Kyle Cask and Carissa French and their mother Jennifer Cask; two sisters, Dorothy Greene of Canton and Debra Jones of Cleveland, OH; six brothers, Michael, Gerald, Albert, Alvin Fields, Derwin and Shannon Kennebrew and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Saturday, February 4th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 5th, 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 18 Barbourtown Road in Canton. Burial will be private.
