Obituary for Shirley Ann Muzynski

Shirley Ann Muzynski, 74, of Canton, beloved wife of Walter Muzynski, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Hebrew Health in West Hartford. She was born November 17, 1942 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Louis Lakatos and the late Sophie Sobocinski Lakatos. She lived in Naugatuck for many years prior to moving to Canton 35 years ago. Mrs. Muzynski was an inspector for Timex in Middlebury for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville and was a volunteer at Favarh in Canton. Shirley loved Naples, FL and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter Lori Pingree and her husband James of Middletown, Cheryl McMurray and her husband Timothy of Wolcott, Christine Anderson of Enfield along with Donna and Stephen Collins of East Hartland; her daughter-in-law, Caryl Muzynski of Collinsville; her sister Dorothy Smiles of St. Petersburg, FL and Louise Lakatos of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandchildren, Taylor, Timothy, Emily, Michael and his wife Sara and Brian along with several much loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Lawlor and her step son, Donald Muzynski. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Thursday, February 16th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 17th at St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville. Memorial Donations may be made to Favarh.
