Obituary for Mark Elston Lowell

Mark Elston Lowell, 61, of Canton, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his home. He was born December 30, 1955 in Hartford, son of Barbara (Elston) Lowell and the late James Beldon Lowell, Jr. and and was a lifelong resident of Canton, something he was extremely proud of. Mark was a graduate of The Gunnery Class of 1974, Syracuse University Class of 1978 and had received his Juris Doctor Degree from Western New England School of Law in 1981. Attorney Lowell operated his own practice in Canton for many years. He was a previous member of the Board of Finance and the Canton Lions Club and was a regular volunteer at the Canton Historical Museum. Mark loved sailing, reading and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Lynn Visbal and her husband Chris of Weatogue; his son, Daniel Elston Lowell of Canton; his brothers, Sandy Lowell and his wife Jennifer of Colorado and Jeffrey Lowell of Massachusetts; his sister, Jennifer York-Barr and her husband Dean of Minnesota; his grandchildren, CJ, Darren, Mason and Myles as well as Walter and Phyllis Lowell and Arthur and Bette Lowell of Canton and many cousins and friends.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Sunday, April 9th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 41 Bridge Street in Collinsville. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements.
