Obituary for Pamela Jones "Pam" DaFonseca

Pamela “Pam” Jones DaFonseca, 47, from West Granby, CT passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, surrounded by family at Yale-New Haven Hospital, after a 10+ month battle with Melanoma. Pam was born in Alexandra, VA on July 28, 1969 to Brian Douglas Jones and Barbara Curran Jones. She is survived by both parents, her husband Mark DaFonseca, daughter Devin Williams, two sons Landon and Dillon DaFonseca, sisters, Gretchen Robinson, Lydia Gomez, and Angel Gomez and many other family and friends.
Pam was most proud of being a mother, and bringing joy and happiness into the lives of her children. She did so with a bright smile, warm heart and a kindness that impacted all those she touched. Pam was an accomplished woman, with a BS Degree in Accounting, as well as being certified as a Public Accountant, Fraud Examiner and Financial Forensics expert. Her passion though was group fitness and helping others reach their health goals. Pam loved to travel and experience new places and culture, but nothing made Pam happier than her family and home.
A celebration of life to honor Pam will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 12th at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070. A special memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 4pm in Jacksonville, NC (location TBD).
Since being diagnosed with Melanoma, Pam was passionate about sharing her story about the dangers of sun exposure and Melanoma, and taking precautions to protect yourself. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the Melanoma Research Alliance at curemelanoma.org. Please visit Pam’s “Book of Memories” at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
