Michael Wilson
Michael C. Wilson, 45, of Avon, died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home. He was born January 3, 1972 in Hartford, son of the late Richard C. and Lucille A. (Daly) Wilson and was a lifelong resident of Avon. He was a graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1990, and attended Southern Connecticut State University. Michael had worked in retail and most recently worked as a Ride Service Driver. His favorite sports teams were the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants and he enjoyed attending Red Sox games at Fenway Park with his sister, Julie, every summer. Michael was an avid fan of science fiction movies and books. He also enjoyed listening to music; he had an extensive music collection and his favorite artist was Neil Young. Michael also enjoyed playing online video games with people around the world.
He is survived by his sister, Julie M. Wilson, of Hamden and her fiancé, Paul Shortier, as well as numerous beloved uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday April 1st at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location. The burial will follow the memorial service at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Avon. Memorial donations may be made to Greenpeace USA.
