Clarina F. Zappalorti, 96, of Avon, wife of the late Quinto Zappalorti, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at her home. She was born July 20, 1920 in Abbadia, Siena, Italy, daughter of the late Ugo and Torella Biagiotti and had lived in Avon for the past 62 years. Mrs. Zappalorti was a Machine Operator at Ensign-Bickford for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Saint Ann in Avon and had enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her nephews, Alvaro Zappalorti and his wife Jeanne of Avon and Robert Zappalorti and his wife Vida of Hamden; her great nieces and nephews, Dean Zappalorti, Mary Wiechers and John and Debbie Cleary; her great nieces and great nephew, Francesca, Johnny and Celia Cleary. She was predeceased by her brother and sister, Doro and Gina Biagiotti.
There are no calling hours. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 5th, at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road in Avon. Private burial will be in in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Avon. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements.
