Kathleen A. (Kennedy) Burke, "Kathy", 63, of Simsbury, beloved wife of John Burke, died Friday May 19th, 2017 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. She was born March 24, 1954 in Hartford, daughter of the late Daniel and Veronica (Henry) Kennedy and had been a lifelong resident of Simsbury. Kathy had received her Associates Degree from Briarwood College. Mrs. Burke was an Administrative Assistant for Cleveland, Inc. for many years. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Tariffville and had enjoyed spending time with family, especially the light of her life, her granddaughter.

Besides her loving husband of 42 years, she is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Storm and her husband Joshua of Tariffville and Meghan Leahy and her husband Michael of Windsor Locks; two brothers, Kevin Kennedy and his wife Valerie of Oviedo, Florida and Robert Kennedy and his wife Sue of Trumbull; her granddaughter, Madelyn Leahy; daughter of Meghan and Michael; Rita and Michael Farrell of Rockwell, North Carolina and Susan and Steve Griffin of Tariffville and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Kennedy, Jr.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Monday, May 22 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 23 at St. Bernard’s Church in Tariffville. Burial will be private. Please visit Kathy’s “Book of Memories”
