Obituary for Linda O'Connor

Linda (Doak) O’Connor, 66, of Tariffville, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born June 21, 1951 in Hartford, daughter of the late William A. Doak, Sr. and Marion (Dickerson) Doak and had lived in the area her entire life. Linda was a graduate of Baypath University having received her Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and IT (Information Technology) and was always continuing her education having earned multiple Masters degrees over the years. She was a Billing Specialist for Waste Management for many years prior to her retirement on Friday June, 23, 2017. Linda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Southwick, MA and IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals). She enjoyed crocheting, collecting tea cups, loved to spend time with her grandchildren as well as reading in her favorite chair with a cup of tea and her cats.
She is survived by her daughter, Aimee Ransom of Tariffville, whose husband Robert was tragically taken in the same accident; her grandchildren, Cory Valiquette and Dylan Hine; her siblings, Clara-Louise Horsler and her husband Robert of Southwick, MA, William Doak and his wife Linda of Groten, CT, Richard Doak and his wife Martha of Enfield, CT, Sally Feingold and her husband Robert of Granby, CT, Paul Doak of Granby, CT, and Bruce Doak of Rehoboth, DE, and many nieces and nephews, including one great-grand nephew. She was predeceased by her first husband Ronald Valiquette and her third husband, Edward J. O’Connor.
Calling hours for her and her son-in-law Robert ‘Nate’ will be held Friday, June 30th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton.
