Condolence: Dear Smyth family, my deepest condolences on Bill's death. The Gabriele's and Smyth's history as neighbors, friends and extended family runs deep and long. It's woven through the fabric of all of our lives. While we have many happy memories from earlier in our lives (Bill playing with us in the pool and calling me a pool pest, for one), we have lots of lovely ones from our adulthood. Kathryn and Bill's visit to NM several years ago was a treat, and Bill was so relaxed and happy during that trip! I never even knew he liked wine until then...More recently, I treasured the frequent visits with Kathryn and Bill for espresso and pastries during the final years of mom and dad's lives. Hearing stories we had never heard before about his adventures when he grew up in NY - it was all very special....We enjoyed those times so much (Joan and I loved those visits), connecting with life-long friends and forgetting about aches, pains and worries for a little while. I'll treasure these memories even more now, and know you will treasure yours, too. Take care, my friends, and know that we're sending love to you all from New Mexico.
