Obituary for Margaret Bruno

Margaret Bruno, a long time (over 60 years) resident of Little Falls, New Jersey, passed away in Simsbury, Connecticut at the age of 101. Margaret’s husband of over 75 years, John passed away in 2015 at the age of 95. Margaret and John moved to Simsbury in 2011 to be close to their son Kenneth Bruno and wife Lynn; their three grandchildren Diana Lynn Kalamarides and husband John James, Kenneth R. Bruno II and wife Leila, Dr. J. James “Jamie” Bruno II and wife Lindsay. But the joy of their lives were their eleven great grandchildren: Dan, Emma, Dave, Hannah, Joe, Kaitlyn, Alison, Jackie, Sydney, Jack and Avery.
Margaret worked for years as a seamstress for Barbizon and the Sam Brutin Women Coats Co in Paterson, New Jersey. She was an avid bingo player and bowler. She lived through 18 Presidents, 2 World Wars, the Great Depression, and Industrial and Technological advances of extraordinary proportions, but her greatest joy was her family. Grandmother Margaret made the best tomato sauce, meat balls and ravioli, and her fresh greens salad to this day can’t be duplicated. A beautiful Italian Mother and Grandmother loved by all.
Margaret has two surviving sisters, Sue Perritt of Fairlawn, New Jersey and Maria Franco of Lodi, New Jersey.
