David Edward Shaver, 79, of Destin, Florida passed away, October 17, 2017. He was born July 1, 1938 in Hartford, Connecticut to Donald and Dorothy Widen Shaver. David had a 36-year career with the United Parcel Service as an Industrial Engineer, working in many regions in the United States and Germany. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Robert Kennedy; first wife, Alice Charteir Shaver. David is survived by his wife, Linda Shaver; step-sons, Michael Meaders (Kim) and Scott Meaders (Lori); daughter, Susan Shaver; sisters, Penny Frank (Doug) and Linda Mahoney; brothers, Donald Shaver (Bobbi) and Rob Kennedy (Meg); sister-in-law, Clare Chartier Wolf (Steve); nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons Graveside inurnment service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 30, 2017 at Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT 06019.
