Condolence From: Kate Raftery
Condolence: Dear Gillespie Family; Mr. and Mrs. Gillespie were part of this amazing group of people my parents considered great friends. Politics, bridge, family all themes among the many they shared. It was a wonderful community of socially minded, community engaged people who worked hard to have a wonderful town to raise their families in while still always being able to some how have a fun! All of the Raftery family sends our thoughts and prayers to you. Kate Raftery

Condolence From: Ki Lani MiChele
Condolence: When I first met Aunt Ruthie she reminded me of Jane Fonda in looks and I found her to be such a delight. That was a few years before David and I were married over 55 years ago and she told me how much she loved her nephew and that he was one of her most favorite persons. I could tell how fond they were of one another…..and now they are both “dancing in the wind and melting into the sun” as quoted from “The Prophet” by Kahlil Gibran. A Hui Hou…until we meet again, Love & Aloha, Ki Lani MiChele

Condolence From: Carol Hinman Montesanto
Condolence: Dear Gillespie family, I was so sad to hear that your mom passed away. She was such a big part of me growing up. She was so kind, and funny and and just a beautiful lady. She would make me chicken soup when I was sick! I loved driving by your house in the morning and seeing your mom in her garden always with a wave and a cat or to weaving around her. Your mom will forever be in my heart ❤️ Love Carol (Flower) Montesanto and family

Condolence From: Elizabeth Van Ness
Condolence: I first met Ruth and Bob Gillespie at the Canton Public Library back in the 1980s. At the time I had no idea how many people I would come to love in the town of Canton. Bob and Ruth will always live in my heart. They comforted me at the funeral of one of their family friends back then. I know that their grief was profound, but they had so much compassion for me. I loved to talk about books and about the local wildlife with them. I send the all family my condolences. Fond Regards, Beth Van Ness
