Obituary for Lottie Jutton (Barber)

Lottie M. (Barber) Jutton, 96 of Simsbury, CT, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Governor’s House in Simsbury, CT, after a short illness. Born in Albany, NY, she lived in Schenectady, NY most of her life until moving to Simsbury eight years ago. Lottie will be remembered as a smart, kind and giving soul whose passion was reading. She loved spending time with her family, and always maintained her fun loving, witty personality.
Predeceased by her parents, Octave and Anna (Thomas) Barber, the love of her life and husband, Donald F. Jutton, three sisters, Lillian Platel, Dorothy Hughes and Betty Myers, as well as three brothers Charles, Robert and Frank Barber.
She is survived by her children, Donald R. (Terry) Jutton of NH, David R. (Lynda) Jutton of NY and MaryAnn (Daryl) Philo of CT, nine grand-children, eight great-grand-children, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 6th at 12:00 noon at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury, CT. Private burial will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY. Memorial Donations may be made to the Association of the Blind or a charity of your choice.
