Lawrence Paul  Crane
Lawrence Paul Crane, 90, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Shirley Mae (Hurrell) Crane, died, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at McLean in Simsbury. He was born on May 29, 1927 in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Lawrence A. and Agnes (Scanlon) Crane and had lived in Simsbury for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Northeastern University having received his Bachelors Degree. Mr. Crane was a World War II veteran serving in the Naval branch.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Stephen Crane of Powhatan, VA, Larry Crane of Williamsburg, VA, David Crane of Ellington and Lisa Angerami of New Hartford, along with his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Geary and two brothers, Richard and Joseph Crane.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 29th at 11:00 am at Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
