Condolence: Dear Johanna and family, I'm writing with my condolences. John was a mentor and friend to me. Though I never had him as a teacher in the classroom, he directed me in several plays and was/is a positive influence in my life. So much so that we stayed in touch long after high school and I have fond memories of meeting all of you (on more than one occasion) and of some of you even meeting my husband and our two children not long ago. I am deeply saddened that John has died, and I want you to know that I am another person who will continue to carry him in my heart and memory. I wish you all the best in this sad time.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. His influence on my artistic career was tremendous. He encouraged a level of confidence in my abilities as a performer that enabled me to survive the common hurdles of being in theatre. He supported a love of great writing and deep storytelling that became a life path I have never fully left. And his championing of "The Shadow Box" left an indelible impression about how important it is to fight for just causes, build strong relationships, and tell vital stories despite resistance. Condolence: I am sad to hear of John's death. John was my cross country coach for four years at Simsbury High. I also enjoyed the plays he directed each year. I know he was a positive influence on hundreds of kids like me.
