The Lady Killer
My fondest memories of my cousin Robbie are of the summer he came to visit us while our grandparents were in town for the month. All of us kids adored the special treats and attention we all shared spending time with them, and competing fiercely in the French game Milles Bourne, which we played endlessly together! My five brothers and sisters and I all looked up to our cool, outgoing, fun older cousin Robbie!! And he was awfully "cute" too, according to all of our neighborhood girlfriends, who seemed to have a limitless number of excuses to be spending unusual amounts of time at our house while Robbie was visiting!! We had to make sure they didn't get wind of our BIG plans to ride bikes to McDonalds and Miniature Golf with him (sadly, the absolute highlight of our social life at the time) so that we could have him all to ourselves for awhile!! Sadly we always lived very far apart as adults, so had not seen much of each other, but had recently really enjoyed reconnecting after I finally joined social media. My heart aches for you, Bruce, Paul, Gail, Laura, and Mary Ann, and for the rest of your extended family, as you mourn your loss. I hope all the wonderful memories that live on in your hearts fore ever will comfort you and brings back all the smiles and closeness and laughter in special moments of every day!! Love to you all from my entire family!!!
