A. “Marc” Horniatko, 63, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Shelly (Crawford) Horniatko, unexpectedly died Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his home. He was born February 11, 1955 in Harford, son of the late Anatol Steve and Anna Agnes (Majewski) Horniatko and had been a lifelong resident of Simsbury. He enjoyed classic cars, gardening, antiques and spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, he is survived by his three children, Marc Horniatko and his wife Sarah of Simsbury, Kelly Soukup and her husband Kurt of Vieques, PR, and David Horniatko and his fiancée Jennifer Young of Simsbury; his three grandchildren, Kaylaa, Emma and James; his nephew, Jamie Messenger and his wife Debbie; his nieces, Deanna Messenger, Michele Timchak and Kat Stulpin; his sister-in-law, Susan Stulpin and her husband Bob and his brother-in-law, Stephen Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Donald Messenger and his Goddaughter and niece, Cheryl Ainsworth.
His family will receive friends at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Saturday, August 18th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Simsbury Cemetery.
