Obituary for Curtiss Toy Lamb

Curtiss Toy “Toy Boy” Lamb, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 10, 2018 with his wife, Lucia B. Lamb, by his side, at John Dempsey Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a resident of Weatogue most of his life.

Curtiss was the son of the late Richard Humphrey and Vera Johnson Lamb. Besides his wife, he leaves behind his loving daughter, Lisa Toy Mackniak of Shelton, her husband, Jeffrey, and grandchildren, Madison and Jack; his sister-in-law Christine Byczkiewicz of Unionville, his sister, Jeannie Scraggs of New Jersey and her son, Richard, his wife Michelle and their children, Amy and Andrew; his brother, Peter Lamb of Canton, his wife
Hilda, and their son, Pete.

Curtiss enjoyed cars in his early days, especially his GTO, and later, his corvette. Curt was a generous, quiet man and he enjoyed watching game shows and taking 5 mile walks around his neighborhood.

Special thanks to Virginia & Karen of Companions & Homemakers for their love and care during his illness. The family also wishes to thank the staff at UConn Health Center for the comfort and compassion they continuously expressed. This meant a lot to the family.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hartford HealthCare at Home, Central Team, 300 Queen Street, Southington, CT 06489. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements. Please visit his “Book of Memories” at www.vincentfuneralhome.com for remembrances.

Rest In Peace Toy Boy.
