Karl Herrmann  Neuhausser
Karl Herrmann Neuhausser, 82, of Burlington passed away Sunday, December 8th, 2013. He was born in New Britain on December 2, 1931, the son of the late Charles and Freda (Habbe) Neuhausser. He grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington H.S. in 1949. After high school he enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1951 - 1953. He is a Korean War Veteran and upon discharge was a Sargent in the 25th Infantry Division. He was decorated with the Korean Service Medal and a Bronze Service Star-United Nations Service Medal. He worked as an electrician and retired from Aetna Insurance Company in 1993 after 21 years of service. He married his loving wife Constance (Lyon) Neuhausser in 1956 and had four sons, Ross, Karl, Ron and Roger. He was a devoted husband and loving father whose entire life revolved around his family. He adored his seven grandchildren and was extremely proud of each and every one of them. He enjoyed entertaining with his chicken barbecues and loved to travel and watch the Red Sox with his wife Connie. He was a member of the VFW-CT Post 7008, a charter member of Babe Ruth Baseball as well as a lifetime member of the Burlington Men's Club. He spent many years coaching Burlington Little League Baseball and Basketball and was instrumental in the building of the Ted Scheidel Memorial Baseball Field on Library Lane. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Constance (Connie) Neuhausser; and his four sons, Ross Neuhausser of Charlestown, NH, Karl Neuhausser and his wife Joanne, Ron Neuhausser and Roger Neuhausser and his wife Kathleen, all of Burlington; his seven grandchildren, Kaylee (Neuhausser) St. Pierre and her husband Jake of New Hampshire, Holly and Heidi Neuhausser of New Hampshire, Karlie and Valerie Neuhausser of Burlington, Roger and David Neuhausser of Burlington and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sisters, Hank Neuhausser, Helga Neuhausser and Ruth Anderson. His family will receive family and friends on Friday, December 13th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton, closing with a memorial service at 12:00 NOON. Burial with military honors will follow in Center Cemetery in Burlington. Memorial donations may be made to the Burlington Men's Club Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1289, Burlington, CT 06013.
