Obituary for Joan Aletha Jepeal

Joan Aletha (Dahms) Jepeal, 58, of Tariffville, beloved wife of Michael J. Jepeal, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was born November 4, 1955 in Tariffville, daughter of the late Francis and Doris (Porterfield) Dahms. Joan received her Degree from Champlain College. She was an Actuarial Analyst for The Hartford for many years and was the collector for the Tariffville Water Company for over 20 years. She enjoyed boating, puzzle books and word games, bowling, and going to Disney World with her family. Besides her loving husband of 38 years, she is survived by her son, Michael J.J. Jepeal of Philadelphia, PA; her brothers, Bruce Dahms of New Hampshire and Gordon Dahms of Tennessee; her extended family, Mary Jepeal, Karen Landsberg, Susan Jepeal, Peter and Karen Jepeal, Andrew and Lisa Jepeal, James Jepeal and Joanne Gundersen; many nieces and nephews and a special friend Donna Bailey. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Sunday, September 14th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Service and burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company, 871 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury CT 06070 or to the Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 301, Simsbury, CT 06070.
