Bruno B. Veronesi
Bruno B. Veronesi, 93, of Simsbury, CT, beloved husband of Olga (Muraro) Veronesi, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Governor’s House in Simsbury with family at his side. He was born January 9, 1923 in Avon, son of the late Gaetano and Antonia (Simonelli) Veronesi and had spent his childhood in Italy and had lived in Sheffield, MA prior to moving to Simsbury 56 years ago. Mr. Veronesi was employed at Fuller Brush for many years and was a Custodian in local schools. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury, CT, the Simsbury Farms Country Club and the Garibaldi Soccer Club. Bruno enjoyed soccer, golf, playing cards and traveling and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UCONN Huskies. Besides his loving wife of over 60 years, he is survived by his sister, Caroline Nodari of Springfield, MA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Agostino Veronesi. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury, CT on Friday, February 5th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Simsbury, CT.
