Condolence From: Pam Root
Condolence: Dear Suki, I am sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service for your mother Sunday night. This is a bad month for me emotionally as my mother passed away on November 8, 2002 and it doesn't matter how much time has lapsed, I still get extremely depressed. I miss her very much as you, too, will miss your mom. Again, please accept my heartfelt condolences and please extend my sympathy to your family also. Sincerely with much love, Pam

Condolence From: Nancy Iskra
Condolence: I was so sorry to hear the news about Barbara. She was my introduction to the world of pre-school education. She taught my two sons and then hired me to assist in teaching at Canton Community Nursery School. The school embodies all of the philosophies of Barbara and owes it's good reputation to the concept of co-operative teaching that she began. I learned so much from Barbara and will always be grateful to her for introducing me to my life's passion. She touched so many lives -what a tremendous gift we all received. My thoughts are with the family. Nancy Iskra

Condolence: I was saddened to hear today of Mrs. Young's passing. I met Mrs.Young several years ago at our church while teaching a vacation bible school program with her. At the time I didn't realize that she was one of the founders of the preschool program that our son had attended a few years earlier. Today I am the Director of Canton Community Nursery School. As first time parents we fell in love with the beliefs, philosophy and most importantly the cooperative component that CCNS offered. I am happy to be able to continue on with what Barbara began almost 40 years ago. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss. Warmest Regards, Debbie Lane

Condolence: I met Barbara many years ago when I applied for a job at Canton Community Nursery School. I was lucky enough to get the job and have the pleasure of working with and getting to know her. She was incredibly supportive, caring, and kind. She encouraged me to further my early childhood education. She was a wonderful mentor. I would like to express my deepest sympathy. I'm sure she will be missed by many of those whose lives she touched, just like mine. Sincerely, Nancy Roehl

Condolence: Barbara was great teacher and even better person. She taught both my brother and myself at the nursery school in the early 80's. I thankful to have had the chance to have her in my life at such a young age.

Condolence From: Laura Weinstein
Condolence: Dear Dick, Suki, Karen, Susie, Steven, and all your loved ones, I hope you all know how much your whole family has meant to me. When I was little, there was no better news to hear than that we were going to Connecticut to see the Youngs! As I grew up, I realized how rare the qualities are that made/make you all so special. Barbara's love, intelligence, charm, creativity, generosity, beauty, wisdom, balance, and sense of fun made her someone always an extreme pleasure to be around. When I think of her, I always think of that twinkle in her eye, like a small hint of mischief waiting to break out into an infectious smile. She was truly a gift to those of us in the world fortunate enough to have known her. All those gifts of hers live on through you and your little ones. Now she is at peace. She will be greatly missed and always dearly, dearly loved. My heartfelt condolences... Love, Laura
