Obituary for Clare Everett Ulrich

Clare Everett Ulrich, 23, of Simsbury, died Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was born August 7, 1992 in Monterey, CA, the daughter of Peter and Siobhan (Leahy) Ulrich of Simsbury. Clare was a graduate of Westminster School in Simsbury, Class of 2010, where she played varsity soccer and tennis, and JV hockey, and was a member of several clubs, with a particular interest in photography. All who knew her cherished her kind and caring personality, appreciated her love of animals, and were routinely treated to her infectious laugh and 1000-watt smile. Her personal warmth made her a beloved worker at Rosedale Farm for several summers, as well as at Middlebury College where she worked as a caller for phone-a-thons for the advancement office. Most recently she brought her gifts to her position at EMI Strategic Marketing in Boston.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister, Annie Ulrich of Middlebury, VT; her paternal grandparents, Art and Peg Ulrich of New Canaan; her maternal grandmothers, Barbara Leahy of Concord, NH and Mary Susan Leahy of Kennebunkport, ME and dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Charles Leahy.
