Mary A. (Olivier) Davidson, 87, of Simsbury, wife of the late Gordon M. Davidson, died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at John Dempsey Hospital. Born June 20, 1929 to the late Eugene and Leona (Adams) Olivier and was raised on a farm in Anthony, Kansas. Mrs. Davidson was a Contracts Administrator for Kaman in Bloomfield for over 40 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Simsbury and had enjoyed working on her computer, sewing, knitting and crocheting and watching television.
She is survived by her son, Steve Davidson and his wife Caroline of New Hampshire; her daughter, Karen Orman and her husband George of Connecticut; two grandchildren, Sean Davidson and Melissa Orman; her sisters-in-law, Diana Olivier of Michigan and Eva Olivier of California and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Irvin Olivier, Michael Olivier, Yvonne Sapp and her husband Ralph and Kate Daniel and her husband Art; her brother-in-law, Harold Davidson and his wife June; her sister-in-law, Naomi Klein and her husband Morris and her niece, Maryann Sapp and her nephews, David Sapp, Mark Olivier and Seth Berens.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Friday, October 21st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Saturday, October 22nd, 9:15 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 946 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury.
