Obituary for William H. Bornhoeft

William H. Bornhoeft, 94, of Palm Harbor, FL, husband of the late Elizabeth A. (Janeski) Bornhoeft, died Monday, January 2, 2017. He was born September 24, 1922 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Herman and Margaret (Litke) Bornhoeft and had lived in Granby for many years prior to moving to Palm Harbor, FL. Bill was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army Air Force. Mr. Bornhoeft was a Fire Protection Engineer for American Nuclear Insurers in Hartford for many years prior to his retirement in 1986. William was a member of St. Luke's Church in Palm Harbor, FL, and while in Granby was an active member of St. Therese's Church. Bill enjoyed Bucs football and going to Rays baseball games but was a Cubs fan at heart. Bill is survived by his son, Michael Bornhoeft and his wife MaryAnn of Palm Harbor, FL and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5th at St. Theresa Church, 120 West Granby Road in Granby. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the Mass from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will follow in the Granby Cemetery.
