Obituary for Christine Kirby Faunce

Christine Kirby Faunce, 71, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born November 11, 1945 in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late John D. and Katherine (Kirby) Faunce and had lived in Simsbury and Canton for many years before moving to Bloomfield. Chris owned and operated the Book and Candle in Simsbury with her mom for 10 years prior to her retirement in 1972. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville, and Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville; the Bloomfield Senior Citizens Club for the Handicap, Camp Harkness in Waterford and was the recipient of the Larabee Fund award which assisted with her attendance at the Golden Years Day Camp.
She is predeceased by her cousin, Jeffrey Webber. She is survived by her brother, John R. Faunce and his wife Sharon of Waterbury, VT; her sister, Holly F. Mallette and her husband Jason of Glendale, AZ; her step mother, Donna Pierce Faunce, her step-brothers, Jeff Pierce and his wife Connie, Bradley Pierce and his wife Liza; two nephews, Scott Mallette and his fiancé Roseanne, Rob Mallette and his wife Bethany; four nieces, Wendy Jowett and her husband Andy, Lisa Vanderby and her husband Kevin, Heidi Faunce and Susan Faunce; cousins Chris, Mark and Tim Webber and Jeff’s wife, Anna Marie Webber and their children. Also, great nieces and nephews: Conor and Abby Jowett, Ellie and Layne Vanderby, Joshua, William and Sophia Mallette, Emeline and Annabel Mallette, Gardner and Noelle Pierce, Byrnthia Pierce.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be celebrated Wednesday, May 3rd at 11:00am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 River Road in Collinsville. Donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
