Jean Janelle Kibbe, 88, of Simsbury, CT, beloved wife of the late Harold “Hal” Kibbe, Jr., died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at McLean Home in Simsbury. She was born November 12, 1929, in Dover, NH; daughter of the late Wilfred and Thelma (Thurber) Janelle. She was a member of the Valley Community Baptist Church and taught in both the South Windsor schools and the Master’s School prior to embarking on a long career in real estate sales.
Jean is survived by her children, Karsten and his wife Heather of New York, NY and Brett and his wife Bernie of Roxbury, CT; grandchildren, Edel, Mark and Caroline Kibbe; and a sister, Anita Roy of West Orange, NJ. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by brothers Sinclair “Sonny” and Leo Robert “Bobby” Janelle.
Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours on Friday, December 15th from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday December 16th, 10:30 a.m. at Hopmeadow Country Club, 85 Firetown Rd, Simsbury, with Pastor Skip Eggimann officiating.
