Keith Michael Gillespie, 61, of Avon, died Friday, May 11, 2018, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born July 12, 1956 in Hartford, son of the late Wilfred and Barbara (Albee) Gillespie and had lived in Barkhamsted and Terryville prior to moving to Avon 10 years ago. Keith was an Irrigation Foreman for Anderson Turf Irrigation, Inc. in Avon. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and co-workers, playing golf and spending time with Buck, his beloved companion.
He is survived by his sisters, Cathy Sipes and her husband Steve of Washington State, Elizabeth Miller and her husband Trueman of New Hartford, and his brother, James Gillespie of New Hartford; his niece, Wendy Miller, great nephew Steven Miller, and a great niece, Olivia Houle, all of Torrington. He was predeceased by his significant other, Joan (Casson) Dubay of Avon and his niece, Sherry Miller.
