Condolence From: Susan A Thibodeau
Condolence: Dear Matheson Family: Please accept my deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Stephen. We will never get used to losing or loved ones in death because as Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, we were created with everlasting life in view. But may you find comfort in knowing that Almighty God has promised that soon he will swallow up death forever along with the pain that it brings. (Isaiah 25:8) God has also promised that he will return "Steve" to you as it says at John 5:28,29 and also Psalms 37:29. You can also learn more about what happens when a loved one dies at JW.org. Sincerely, Susan

Condolence: Dear Karen, There are no words to tell you how sorry I am to know that has Steve died. I have been flooded with memories since I received Lynn's email telling me the news. Though we only encountered each other at the two reunions I attended, I remember talking with you and want you to know Steve was truly one of my favorite people. I pray that with the passage of time the aching sadness of his being gone will be replaced by endless happy memories of all the years you had together. Sincerely, Sharon

Condolence: Karen, we are deeply sadden to hear about Steve's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Steve was a great leader and a man with integrity and sense of humor. I'm honored to have worked for him during his tenure at CG/Cigna and fondly remember the many achievements experienced during that time. While not regularly in touch, I always looked forward to receiving the annual Christmas letter/card to learn of the year's events and to see how the family had grown. God bless you and may the joyful memories you shared remain in your heart.

Condolence From: Karen Petrou
Condolence: We would like to add our thoughts to those from all of us at Fidelco who knew Steve and treasured his invaluable work guiding the school through turbulent times to a bright future. Steve’s discipline, dedication, and most of all his understanding of the life-changing power of Fidelco guide dogs was a blessing to Fidelco. Karen knows of Steve’s vital work not only from serving with him on the board, but also as a guide-dog handler now on her second Fidelco-trained dog. She said as recently as this morning yet again that the only good thing she knows about going blind is that she gets to take so loving, smart, and skilled a dog everywhere she goes. And, as Karen will also say anytime anyone asks, she wouldn’t go nearly as many places as quickly and independently as she does without her trusted dogs leading the way. Steve will be sorely missed. His life has made a profound difference to all of us experiencing changed lives due to Fidelio. Karen and Basil Petrou

Condolence: Dear Karen and family Like so many neighbors in Shelter Harbor, are hearts are heavy with the sadness of loosing a true gentleman and friend. We will miss his happy smile and big hello hugs. To us, Steve was the embodiment of this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson "To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to appreciate the beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! You are all in our prayers Hugs Dick & Cheryl
