Condolences

Condolence From: Tim Vander Heide
Condolence: Karen and I were very good friends in college and for many years thereafter. Over the years of living 1000's of miles apart, we lost touch with each other but she always remained in my heart and always will. I was so sorry today to hear of her passing. I'll miss having Karen in the world. My condolences to the family. RIP Karen.

Condolence: Rod, I was so sorry to hear about Karen’s passing in this morning’s paper. I have many happy memories of playing tennis with her at Hop Meadow when we were young moms. As petite as she was, she was so quick and agile that she was impossible to lob over - I think her stature deceived a lot of people and she won more than she lost. She was happy and fun - a bright light! I’m sure you will miss her, but I hope you will be consoled by happy memories of your good times together. With much affection, Betsy

Condolence From: Anita Mielert
Condolence: Ever since we met while our oldest sons were the age of 2, Karen was always a warm, happy friend to me. Running into Karen and Rod, whether at One Way Fare or another Simsbury restaurant, it was always fun to catch up on their lives, share a joke or two, and hear about each other's sons. I will miss her.
