Obituary for William Pulitzer Ballot

William Pulitzer Ballot, of Farmington, beloved husband of Emma Ballot, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born in New York, NY, son of Robert Ballot of Scranton, PA and the late Barbara (Cohan) Ballot and had lived in Massachusetts prior to moving to Farmington 23 years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburg, having received his Bachelors Degree in Economics/Government Policy. He also attended Duquesne University. Mr. Ballot was a World Wide Industry Solution Specialist for HP in New York City. William was an avid skier having been a member of the US Ski Team, had enjoyed golf, traveling, collectibles, politics, and was an avid fan of the Pitt Panthers, the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. When Bill walked into a room he filled the room with so much warmth, energy and humor that every person surrounding him just melted away. He will be so missed by his family and friends who were fortunate to have enjoyed endless hours of chatting away about nothing, smiling all the way home. He was such a large presence and shared his love of life freely for all to take.

In addition to his loving wife of 34 years, William is survived by his father, Robert; his stepchildren Mark and Christina; his uncle, Michael Pulitzer; a brother, Jamie and a niece and nephew.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 1st at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Cancer Association, 9450 SW Gemini Drive #38269, Beaverton, Oregon 97008-7105.
