Obituary for Sharon I. Lawson (Pandiani)

Sharon I. Lawson, 76, of Simsbury, formerly of East Hampton, passed away on October 19, 2018. She was born to the late Serafino and Norma Pandiani in Durham. Sharon graduated from Durham High School in 1960. She eventually went on to earn a Masters Degree in psychology from Antioch University, and was in private practice as a psychotherapist for almost 40 years. Sharon had an internship at Whiting Forensic Institute as part of her training. Sharon was well respected for her work by her peers and most of all by her patients.
Sharon leaves behind her husband of 26 years, Leroy T. Lawson of Simsbury, and her daughter Leslee B. Ives Hill, son-in-law Richard Hill and loving granddaughters Katie and Ainsley Hill of Canton. She also leaves her blended family, Sandra and Luis Morales, their children Marissa Morales, Nicole Heilman and her husband Andrew, Matthew Morales of Wallingford, Thomas Lawson, his wife Jamie and Natalie, Elliot, and Nolan Lawson, of Wallingford, and Jason Lawson his wife Brandi, Zachary and Trevor, of San Antonio Texas. Sharon was pre-deceased by a sister.
Sharon was active in politics, having been twice elected to office in East Hampton and Simsbury. She was also past president of the Connecticut Saddlebred Horse Association and took great pleasure in watching her daughter Leslee and granddaughters Katie and Ainsley compete in show rings up and down the eastern section of the United States.
Private services were previously held for family and invited guests.
