Get a job

One late afternoon, in early fall, of 1984, John returns home from a long week of work. He has a consistent routine. He kisses his wife Mary, loosens his tie, then heads upstairs to get out of his business attire and into his casual evening clothes, upon his return downstairs, he heads over to a cabinet that stores his bottle of gin to make an evening martini. To his surprise, the bottle is missing. At about this same time, he now notices some music and laughter coming from outside the kitchen window. John makes his way out back to his deck, where he observes, in his outdoor jacuzzi / hot tub, his son Mike and friend Steve enjoying some music and a couple of tall gin and tonics ( with limes of course ). John asks to turn off the music, and then with the calm voice of a concerned father / business leader he says; " Boys, You both now have college degrees. Your summer of fun on Cape COD is over. If you both think your going to hang out in my hot tub, and drink my gin, you are mistaken. It's time you both find work, quickly! John was a hard working man and a roll model to all. I am happy to say that Mike and I had new jobs within 30 days and went on to be successful in our careers. Thank you John. Sincerely, Steven Greenberg
