Obituary for Celeste Faith Weeks (Spranzo)
Celeste Faith (Spranzo) Weeks, 59, of Canton, beloved wife of Joseph E. Weeks Jr, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 24th, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was born on December 31st, 1958 in New Britain, daughter of the late Richard and Phyllis (Papa) Spranzo. Celeste was a resident of Canton for over 30 years where she enjoyed cooking for her family, clam bakes, fishing, and gardening and taking care of her rose bushes, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 34 years, Celeste is survived by her son, Joseph R. Weeks and his wife Jillian of Newington; her daughter Tina Weeks of Simsbury; and two stepdaughters; Jody and her husband Robert “Gene” Shepard of Lake City, FL, and Jeri (Weeks) Ricupero of New Hartford; her grandchildren; Darnell Weeks, Destiney Weeks, Kahne Kline “KJ”, Alexzavier Hernandez; Jezaniyah Weeks and Makayla Weeks; her brother in-law Michael McDougall; nieces and nephews including, Michael and Christopher McDougall of Palm Bay, FL; her long time friend, Doreen Stevens; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janine Van Deusen Cavelli, Eleanor (Weeks) and her husband Frank Zacchera, Thomas Weeks and longtime companion Nancy Morse; and nephew Tommy Weeks and companion Linda Good, and Shirley Laws, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Spranzo and her sister, Denise McDougall; her parents-in-law, Joseph Weeks and Emily Van Deusen as well as Catherine Weeks.
