Theresa "Terrie" Bouquillon, 59, of Avon, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at her home. She was born January 27, 1959 in Hartford, beloved daughter of Edward F. and Mary (Murphy) Bouquillon of Simsbury. Theresa was an Independent Consultant for many years working in both the insurance and medical transcription industries. She attended St. Catherine of Siena Church in Simsbury.
Terrie is what we would call a true friend. Her gift of being present, generous and full of caring for others is well remembered. Many were touched by her love and uplifted by her wonderful sense of humor. All of these memories created with friends and family have been captured by her love of photography.
In addition to her parents. She is survived by her loving daughter Olivia Flannery of Avon; two brothers, Eddie Bouquillon and his wife Diana of Lincoln, MA and David Bouquillon and his wife Mary Beth of San Francisco, CA along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Theresa "NeNe" Murphy and her former husband, John Flannery.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC 20037. Dear Ed and Mary: I was very sorry to hear/read the news about Terrie’s death. If she was anything like her parents which I’m sure she was, x2, she really must have had a dynamic way about her. From other comments, I only wish I had had the opportunity to meet her. As one author stated, “You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and smiles left behind”. I’ll give you a call soon and hope to stop over for a visit. Take care and my thoughts are with you and all your family. Rick

Dear Bouquillon family, I am deeply sorry to have heard of the passing of your daughter/sister. I will be sure to keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. May Terrie rest in peace and, as you remember all of the wonderful times you shared together, may these memories help ease your pain and sorrow and give you some sense of comfort. With my deepest sympathies, Denise Salone Zalaski

Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time the blessing of God's unfailing love will soften the hurt you're feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort and hope that it needs to heal. How? Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain, including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected here on earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this. Though I did not know your loved one, she sound like a beautiful person. I am touched by your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences.

To Olivia :) ...Baby O & your mom‘s family , It was heartbreaking to learn of Terrie’s passing. It was the last thing I expected to hear . 😪 and my immediate response was anger at myself for not having reached out to her these past few weeks. She knows I was always running around. With that said I have to tell you she was just a joy to have as a friend ... a TOTAL open heart of love!💖 and her biggest love of course is Baby O ( by the way I left you a message on FB 😉🙏🏻) Olivia there was never a conversation that I had with your Mom where she wasn’t raving about you in some capacity. 🤗❤️🎉 From showing me her favorite pictures of you or telling me how thoughtful you were to always come over and help her all the time -to, of course, your graduation. 👩‍🎓 She loved you to the moon and back & she STILL does!!! 🤗❤️🎉 and I promise you if you keep your eyes open - you will see signs around you that your Mom is still with you because the truth is she will always be with you ! 💖 I thank the day that Joyce Hogan introduced me to your Mom. And then to find out that the Hogan girls have always been a part of your lives and what fun this is been ! And I know they still want to be a part of your life - there for you to support you & make sure you’re happy & for fulfilling your dreams as your amom would want you to do. Your mom had so many great qualities and I think the number one thing was being very transparent - she was careful to always be kind to others. She had such a great memorable laugh her laughter is when I’m going to miss most from our conversations. It basically boils down to talking turkey - which I happen to do very well. 😉👍 Nobody will ever forget your Mom ❤️... I can’t wait to see her In heaven and give her the “business”. One thing I do know is that she is as healthy as can be up and have been right at this very moment watching every move you make. She will always be there for you because she’ll always being your heart. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Peace & ❤️, Marie Tyler Wiley Ps. There’s this old Eskimo saying that I’m pretty sure your mom and I had spoken about Justin passing and we both loved it. It says...”Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. Eskimo Proverb” God bless you all! Xx
