Obituary for Martha Zaldonis
Martha (Pacuska) Zaldonis, 98, of West Granby, wife of the late Anthony T. Zaldonis Sr., died peacefully, Tuesday, February 6, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1920 in Pittston, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Radetsky) Pacuska, moving to her son’s home in West Granby six years ago. Martha was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in West Granby. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening, and spending time with family
She is survived by her son, Dr. Anthony Zaldonis, Jr. and his wife Eileen of West Granby; her daughter, Betsy Benkowksi and her husband Joseph of Potomac, MD; her son John Zaldonis and his wife Diana of Export Pennsylvania, 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at Piontek Funeral Home, 204 Main Street in Duryea Pennsylvania on February 15th from 5- 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street in Duryea, Pennsylvania on February 16 at 10:30 am. Donations may be made to McLean Home Hospice, 75 Great Pond Road, Simsbury, CT 06070.
