Obituary for William H. Clark

William Hutton Clark, 84, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Mary Jo (Ferguson) Clark, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the hospital with all of his loving family by his side. He was born October 11, 1934, in Chicago, ILL., son of the late Frank and Gertrude (Hutton) Clark, and had lived in the Chicago area prior to moving to Simsbury over 40 years ago. Bill was a graduate of Carroll College, class of 1956. Prior to his retirement, Bill owned and operated Northeast Farrier Supply Company in Winsted CT for over 20 years. He was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Simsbury, He was also a member of the Elks club and the Geritol Swingers golf club, was a Mason, and did extensive volunteer work including work with Habitat for Humanity. Bill was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, golf, listening to music, doing puzzles and watching sports. He loved dogs, hated cats and was very good with horses :) His sense of humor was enjoyed by many. Bill was a charming, romantic, gentleman. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Jo, he is survived by his daughter, Kelly Sica and her husband Vinnie of South Windsor; his son Scott Clark and his wife Renee of Millis, MA; his brother, Frank Clark and his wife Ruthie of Sarasota, FL; his grandchildren, Joseph, Sara, Alec, Hailey and Zach; and many cherished friends. He was predeceased by his son Randy Clark.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Friday, February 15th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 16th at the First Church of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow in the Simsbury Cemetery.
