Obituary for Annamae Rotondo

Annamae (Cari) Rotondo, 88, of Canton, wife of the late Paul L. Rotondo, died Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Suffield House. She was born August 1, 1930 in Southington, daughter of the late Charles and Carmella (Milo) Cari and had moved to Canton 60 years ago. Mrs. Rotondo Co-Owned Big A Auto Parts in Canton for many years with her husband. She was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Collinsville having served on the Parish Council, the Human Needs Committee and was a core member of the Women’s of St. Patrick’s Group. Annamae was also involved in the community being a member of Canton Connections and Focus on Canton. She was a die-hard fan of the New York Yankees, enjoyed exercise and in her younger years, duck pin bowling.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Rotondo and her husband Mark Trafton of Exeter, NH, Michael Rotondo and his wife Concetta of Southington, Laurie Rotondo and her husband Dave Grzybowski of Windsor and Deborah Rotondo and her husband George White of Simsbury; her grandchildren, Drew, Seth, Claudia, Cassandra, Amanda, Alicia, Samantha, Caila, Tara and Timothy; a great grandson Jeremiah; her brother, Charles Cari and his wife Ann of Niantic and several loving nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to her loving husband of 57 years and her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Louise LaMontagne.
Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton, on Monday, March 25th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 26th, 9:15 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church in Collinsville. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Collinsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Focus on Canton, P.O. Box 853, Canton, CT 06019.
