Joan and I were best friends all through Jr and high school. After my mom died, I don't think I'd have made it without her. We had so much fun playing cards at my house and talking on the phone for hours. We lived together for several years after we both graduated from college. Although we drifted apart, she will always remain so very special in my heart. I am so sorry about her passing. Hilary Adams

I have so many memories of Joan. We met at Coleco In the mid 1970’s and the day I met Joan she was wearing a white dress with yellow flowers. Joan had her Joan hairdo back then and her bright sunny charm and personality came through and through. We quickly became friends. We worked in the same department along with another lady called Joanie and we just loved our time together working for Ed Greenberg along with Dick Housman and Lee. Our friendship expanded to other coworkers Giselle and Vicki and the four of us would go to lunch. Our lunchtimes were let’s say quite the event. We had a fun time and would grab something and go to Elizabeth Park, the Prospect Cafe or go over to Vicki’s house. We were just four girls in our twenties having a fun time. I got to know Joan and Jack so well I felt Joan was a sister friend. Joan and Jack helped me move, and we had the best of times probably going to our pilgrimage to see our dearest love at the time Steve Martin. We roared with laughter. After I left Coleco in 1981 our friendship continued over the years, weddings, baby showers, birthday parties and we were always brought together for these events, In later years Joan and I spent New Years Day together, it was a perfect start to the year. We would go out to lunch or I would make lunch. New Years Day will not be the same for me ever again. I treasure my friend Joan, her roarest laughter, her positive sunny ways, her tender friendship. I loved my friend deeply and the word has lost a wonderful person our friend Joan. God bless all whom loved her.

. My Mom and a woman named Vivian were best friends since their teens. Vivian married Henry Kuchta and Joan was his niece. They lived in the same town (New Hartford) and introduced us when we were 8 and we became fast friends. My Mom would take my sister and I up there (from Long Island) about one weekend a month. I remember SO much fun up there…going to Country Fairs, Sturbridge Village, going to dances at the local firehouse, going swimming at the Barkhampsted reservoir, learning to ski with Joan and her learning to horseback ride with me. My Aunt Viv always let her come over for dinner and stay overnight when I was there. So, so many memories, so much laughter. I went to the University of Hartford to be nearby. Recent years pulled us further apart with work and family responsibilities. I always thought there would be time to get together when we retired. Time ran out and I am going to miss her so much. My deepest sympathy to Jack, Jack Jr., George, Charlie and Heidi and their families.
